Spring 2024 Farm Update
March 15, 2024
Welcome to our first official newsletter! As the Sierra Nevada foothills come alive with spring, we’re excited to share what’s happening here at Govind Farm.
🌸 Orchard Awakening
Our fruit orchard is showing the first signs of spring life. The apple and pear trees are beginning to bud, and we’ve been busy preparing the soil for another season of sustainable growing. This year, we’re implementing new companion planting techniques to support our trees naturally.
What’s New:
- Pruning completed for optimal fruit production
- New compost system installed for soil health
- Bee-friendly wildflower borders planted around the orchard
🐎 Meet Our Newest Family Members
We’re thrilled to introduce two new horses who have joined our farm family this spring! They’re settling in beautifully and already showing their gentle, curious personalities. Visitors will have the opportunity to meet them during farm visits.
Meet the Team:
- Sage - A wise, gentle mare who loves children
- River - An energetic gelding with a playful spirit
We’re proud to announce our partnership with three local businesses in Oregon House. We’ll be supplying fresh produce to:
- The Oregon House General Store
- Sierra Foothills Café
- Local farmers market

🌿 Seasonal Wisdom
Spring reminds us that growth happens in cycles. Just as our trees prepare for fruit, we’re preparing our hearts and minds for another season of learning, growing, and sharing with our community.
